Your Tanzanian adventure begins with a warm welcome at the airport, where our team will meet you and transfer you to Arusha. After settling in, enjoy a relaxed city excursion introducing you to the character and culture of this lively safari gateway. Visit local markets, explore the Maasai Market, discover Tanzania’s cultural heritage, and learn more about the region at the Arusha City Museum. It is an easy and engaging first day before your journey into the wilderness begins. Main Destination: Arusha City

After breakfast, leave Arusha behind and travel north toward the remote and dramatic landscapes of Lake Natron. The route follows the Rift Valley Escarpment through traditional Maasai country, with expansive scenery and views toward Ol Doinyo Lengai, the sacred mountain revered by the Maasai. On arrival near Lake Natron, enjoy a guided walk toward the lake and experience its remarkable alkaline environment, where flamingos can gather in large numbers during suitable breeding periods. Depending on conditions and your preference, you may also explore the nearby waterfall and enjoy a refreshing swim. Main Destination: Lake Natron

Rise early and continue north, leaving the Rift Valley behind as the landscape changes dramatically along the road toward Wasso and the northern reaches of the Serengeti. Enter the national park through Kleins Gate and begin your first game drive in the Lobo area. This remote section of the Serengeti is known for its rocky kopjes, open grasslands, permanent water sources, and abundant resident wildlife. Lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and zebras may all be encountered, while seasonal movements of wildebeest can bring an added sense of spectacle depending on the time of year. Main Destination: Northern Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti, one of the region’s most scenic and less-developed wilderness areas. The landscape of rolling grasslands, rocky outcrops, river valleys, and woodland provides an excellent setting for game drives. During the Great Wildebeest Migration, large herds may pass through the area as they move between the northern and southern Serengeti ecosystems, with the timing and location depending on seasonal conditions. Resident wildlife remains a major attraction throughout the year, with opportunities to encounter lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, zebras, buffaloes, and other plains animals. Main Destination: Northern Serengeti National Park

After a relaxed morning, journey south toward Central Serengeti and the wildlife-rich Seronera Valley. Along the way, enjoy game viewing as the scenery gradually changes from the northern landscapes to the classic open plains of central Serengeti. Seronera is renowned for its year-round wildlife and is particularly rewarding for spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards. Keep watch for buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, impalas, topis, warthogs, zebras, and gazelles as you explore the valley. Your guide can also help you identify the subtle differences between Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles as you continue through the plains. Main Destination: Central Serengeti National Park

Enjoy another game drive through the Serengeti before making your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey reveals a fascinating transition from vast savanna plains to the forested and elevated landscapes of the crater highlands. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a remarkable blend of wildlife, volcanic scenery, and living cultural heritage, where Maasai communities continue their traditional pastoral way of life alongside the natural environment. As you approach your overnight location, take in the magnificent views across the Ngorongoro landscape and, where conditions allow, watch the sky transform with the colors of sunset. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, travel along the crater rim before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem, permanent water sources, grasslands, woodland, and wetlands support an impressive variety of wildlife. Search the crater floor for lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and, with patience and good fortune, the endangered black rhinoceros. After exploring the crater and enjoying its dramatic scenery, continue toward Lake Eyasi, a remote soda lake surrounded by rugged landscapes and communities with deeply rooted cultural traditions. Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater

Begin the day around Lake Eyasi, where the experience moves beyond wildlife and into the cultural heart of northern Tanzania. The area is home to the Hadzabe and Datoga communities, whose traditional ways of life offer a fascinating perspective on Tanzania’s diverse cultural heritage. Depending on the arrangements and community activities available, learn about traditional hunting and gathering practices, pastoral life, crafts, beadwork, and other aspects of daily life. After this cultural experience, begin the journey back to Arusha, arriving later in the day for a relaxing evening. Main Destination: Lake Eyasi

Leave Arusha for a full-day adventure on the slopes and surrounding landscapes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Begin with a hike through the lush surroundings of Materuni toward its impressive waterfall, where you can enjoy the cool atmosphere and, where conditions permit, take a refreshing dip. Continue to a local coffee-growing area to learn about Tanzania’s coffee traditions and the process behind one of the country’s most important crops. Finish the day at Kikuletwa Hot Springs, a beautiful natural pool surrounded by greenery, before returning to Arusha for the evening. Main Destination: Materuni Waterfalls
