Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s most celebrated safari destination, renowned for its vast plains, abundant wildlife and the spectacular Great Migration. Millions of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles move through the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas. Beyond the migration, the Serengeti offers outstanding wildlife viewing throughout the year. Its varied landscapes include open grasslands, rocky kopjes, acacia woodland and river valleys inhabited by elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and hundreds of bird species. From the calving grounds of the south to the river-crossing areas of the north, each region offers a different safari experience. Spending several days in the Serengeti allows visitors to explore at a comfortable pace and observe the natural behaviour that makes this wilderness extraordinary.
